Microvellum Work inside it, not around it.
The platform was bought to run production. Then the person who was going to make that happen never arrived, and it has been producing drawings ever since. It is one of the most common situations we see.
The situation this addresses
A shop buys a parametric manufacturing platform on the strength of what it can do downstream. The licence is paid. The training happens. Then the person who was going to build it out leaves, or never gets hired, and the platform settles into producing drawings that a fraction of the cost would have produced anyway.
Nothing is broken. The capability is simply unused, and every year it stays unused it gets harder to justify.
What we do inside your environment
- We work inside your Microvellum environment,
- to your setup and your conventions, rather than exporting your work into ours.
- We produce the output it was purchased for.
- Where your environment holds what it needs, the same source produces the drawings, the part data and the production output rather than three disconnected efforts.
- We follow your existing setup.
- Whatever your environment already contains is what the work is built on. Your conventions are captured in a Standards Record on the first project and applied consistently after that.
- Two-stage checking applies here as everywhere.
- An independent check, then a named senior reviewer, before anything reaches you.
What we do not do
- We do not build or develop your library or templates.
- That is a distinct piece of work, it is not part of this service, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
- We do not write post-processors or G-code.
- Machine-specific output depends on your machine, its controller, its tooling and its condition. That stays with your programmer or your machine integrator. Permanently, not for now.
- We are not a Microvellum reseller, partner or implementation consultancy.
- We are a detailing firm that works inside the platform you run.
Platform capability block
Where platform work goes wrong
- Work exported into someone else’s environment.
- Drawings come back looking fine and nothing downstream is usable, because the parametric source never existed on your side.
- Parameters assumed rather than read.
- Output produced against material sizes and machine parameters nobody confirmed.
- A setup quietly changed.
- An outside team altering conventions to suit how they prefer to work, discovered months later by whoever inherits it.
- Downstream capability left unused.
- Drawings produced, part data never generated, and the platform paying for itself only on paper.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
We have Microvellum but only use it for drawings. Can you take it to the machine?
That is one of the most common situations we see. The platform gets bought and the production side never gets staffed. We work inside your environment and produce the output it was purchased for.
Will you change our setup?
No. Your environment is followed as it exists, and your conventions are recorded so they are applied consistently rather than reinterpreted. Where something in the setup blocks the work, that comes back to you as a question rather than being altered.
Do you build our library for us?
Library and template development is not part of this service. Where an underused environment is the real problem, the honest starting point is usually a conversation about what is actually in it.
Can you produce machine output?
Production data is produced to the material and machine parameters you supply. Post-processors and G-code stay with your programmer or your machine integrator, which is a permanent boundary rather than a current limitation.

What comes back shows whether the fit is real before anything is committed.
- Drawing production and output from the same source, inside your environment
- Your existing setup followed, never rebuilt or migrated
- Library and template development not part of this service
- One named contact, not a general queue
